ABOUT OUR CANDLES

HANDMADE candles
A combination of coconut and beeswax is used to make the candles. Natural threads made of thick cotton are used for the wick.
Coconut wax makes candles burn evenly, smoke-free, safe and healthy. The wax provides a soft burn and a light coconut scent. Beeswax contains propolis, which is released when burned. It acts as an antiseptic and is good at purifying the air from pathogenic microorganisms.
Since natural waxes are used, the candles already have their own light honey and coconut scent. The natural wax obtained from coconut processing, combined with beeswax, allows the production of first-class candles.
Candles made from coconut and honey waxes are higher quality, healthier, and burn about 30% longer.

Why don’t we use soy wax?
In the world of natural candles, soy wax may sound familiar to many. However, we have consciously chosen coconut wax with beeswax, and here’s why:
1. Soy wax is not entirely natural.
Most soy grown worldwide is genetically modified (GMO). Its cultivation involves pesticides and herbicides. Soy wax undergoes deep processing to become white and uniform.
2. Production is not environmentally friendly.
Its production requires intensive farming and chemical fertilizers. Soy plantations often lead to deforestation and extensive use of agrochemicals.
3. Burn time is not the longest.
Soy wax burns about 30% faster than coconut or beeswax. Many manufacturers add chemicals to compensate for this.
4. Soy wax is less stable in candles.
Soy wax tends to create frosting, layering, and uneven texture. While this doesn’t affect safety, it impacts the candle’s aesthetics.
5. Scents are less pronounced and less pure.
Soy wax tends to “mute” fragrance notes, which means more scents and dyes need to be added during candle making to achieve the desired effect.

ECO-friendly
Compared to soy candles, for example, producing candle wax from soy requires complex, long-term processing with special reagents, which places a significant burden on the environment.
The production of «Burning Art» coconut and beeswax candles is environmentally sustainable.
The packaging is made of compressed, environmentally friendly paper that is not impregnated with chemicals and is dyed black using natural dyes. The box has a waterproof lid made of recyclable plastic.
